Product Description
Magnus is a dual-action insecticide containing Chlorantraniliprole 4.3% and Abamectin 1.7% SC, a powerful combination of two different modes of action that simultaneously controls stubborn chewing and sucking pests like caterpillars, borers, leaf miners, thrips, and spider mites across all major crops. It is safe for beneficial insects when used as directed, compatible with IPM programs, and significantly delays resistance development in target pests. Key Benefits:
1. Dual Mode of Action (Covers Both Chewing and Sucking Pests)- It stops chewing pests like caterpillars and borers by triggering uncontrolled muscle contraction and paralysis.
2. Crop Damage Stops Immediately - Magnus stops insect feeding within 2–4 hours of application, even before larvae die.
3. Long Residual Activity (14–21 Days Protection) - Magnus provides 14–21 days of residual pest control, significantly longer than most contact insecticides.
4. Critical for Heavy Pesticide Use Areas - Magnus is preferred where thrips, mites, and borers show resistance to single-mode insecticides like pyrethroids and organophosphates.
5. Safe for Beneficial Insects and IPM Compatible - Magnus is safe for beneficial insects including bees, ladybugs, and predatory mites when used at the recommended dosage. This IPM compatibility makes Magnus the ideal choice for farmers.
6. Reaches Hidden Pests - it penetrates leaf tissue to reach thrips hiding inside flower buds and leaf miners feeding between leaf layers where spray coverage cannot reach.

Notes-
- Spray thoroughly, covering upper and lower leaf surfaces, flower buds, and growing tips; thrips hide in buds, and mites colonize undersides
- Apply in the early morning before 9 AM or after 5 PM; heat reduces translaminar absorption efficiency
- Add a sticker spreader at 0.5 ml per litre for better leaf adhesion and rain fastness
- Can be tank mixed with most fungicides; do a compatibility test before mixing
- Do not mix with strongly alkaline products; this reduces SC formulation stability

Diseases and Control
1. Thrips Hiding Inside Flower Buds in Chilli and Tomato
Solution:
- Magnus Abamectin 1.7% SC has translaminar action; it penetrates leaf and flower bud tissue to reach thrips hiding inside.
- Apply Magnus at 1.5–2 ml per litre at the pre-flowering stage.
2. Spider Mites Developing Resistance to Common Miticides
Solution:
- Mites that have developed resistance to chemical miticides remain fully susceptible to Abamectin.
- Apply Magnus at 2 ml per litre, focusing on the underside of leaves where mites colonize.
- Repeat in 14 days if mite pressure continues.
3. Leaf Miners Feeding Inside Leaf Tissue
Solution:
- Apply Magnus at 1.5–2 ml per litre as a foliar spray.
- Additionally, apply as soil drench at 2 ml per litre for systemic uptake into leaf tissue.
